Ajverijada

Ajverijada is the only event that takes place in September/October whose goal is to present, affirm, and popularize the local “Ajver” of Strumica, which is an original specialty made of the famous Strumica red paprika “Kurtova Kapija”. In an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere, with songs, dances and humor, the visitors taste bread and ajvar, and the best masters of ajvar are awarded prizes.
