Monument of Goce Arnaudov - Strumica

The monument of the giant of Macedonian folk music Goce Arnaudov (1954 - 2011) is located in the small City Park in Strumica, in the immediate vicinity of his home, where he lived and worked.

The Monument of Goce Arnaudov was raised and officially unveiled on the initiative and good will of the Municipality of Strumica. The author of this work is the Macedonian sculptor and painter Mitko Toshev of Strumica. The memorial sculpture was made of bronze in life-size, placed on a pedestal and depicts the singer being on the stage – with a microphone in his hand. This piece of work will remain an eternal and lasting memorial for future generations like Goce Arnaudov’s songs are eternal.

Goce Arnaudov took part in hundreds of festivals and in over 60 won the first place.

In 2000 the Municipality of Strumica awarded him the prize for the singer of the decade and made ​​him an honorary citizen.
